Hi Andreas,

Two part answer, if you are training specifically for a marathon, then pace is your pure marathon pace. If you are training for Ironman then planned IM Marathon pace.

Hi all (especially @ollie),

an old question, oft asked, let’s ask it again:
If my program talks about the “expected marathon pace”, is that my planned IM marathon pace? Or the 20secs faster pure marathon pace?

Long Run, Ironman Build
22km, running 50% of your long run faster than your expected marathon pace.

I’ll probably be doing an easy ride with the good old Irish on Sunday.
Expect Rich and Budgy to hit out for another 160km or so on Saturday!
