WORD FROM THE COACHES
Thanks to all those athletes who jumped on board our pre-season QUEENSCLIFF CAMP last week. We can now confirm that we have sufficient numbers so the camp is on! This is great news as it would have been a shame to cancel this great fun and very important training weekend. This camp is the transition into our speed phase and the 3 day weekend staying at the YMCA lodges is comfortable with flat fast roads nearby, running tracks and trails and a swim at Portarlington on the cards.
If you are still considering coming along we do have space and bookings are still open so head on over to the below link and book your spot. Please use the following link to book or chat with your coach if you have any specific questions about the camp:

RECOVERY WEEK
Again it is that time when it is important to rest those bodies and have those precious few more hours of sleep. There was no run Tuesday am and will be no coached laps on Thursday morning. Sessions will be lighter but that doesn’t mean you should be sloppy with your form – think about your technique often to cement this in muscle memory for when the sessions again pick up and you are working that much harder.
Riding this Saturday there are two rides. All long course should ride along North Road to the Dandenongs and back rolling at 630am from North Point Cafe. There will be a couple of groups with volume being 100-120k and 150k+. Short course riders will roll from Elwood at 7am along Beach Road.
SANDY POINT HALF
There are a number of our athletes racing this Sunday in the event along Beach Road from the 5k, 10k and the Half Marathon. As with Run Melbourne we’d love supporters to be out in force cheering on so we are going to move our MSAC run to start at Elwood at 8am Sunday and run down to the course.
Racing begins from Green Point Brighton at 7:10am with the 10k and then 7:40am for the Half with the 5k kicking off at 8:15am.
Race entries are still open right up until race morning so have a chat with your coach if you are considering a run and wanted to put this into your schedule.
