WORD FROM THE COACHESMountain Biking
We’ve had a fantastic start to our April Transition Timetable, with some great fun had at sessions including our GIANT and LIV/Giant Social Rides on Saturday and Mountain Biking on Sunday. You can check out pictures from our April Training here.

Tonight we have a New Athlete Welcome and Induction Session. Aimed at anyone new to the squad this year, have joined through our popular TRY-the-TRI Program, or simply want to sit down with our Coaches listen, learn and ask questions in more detail! Click here for more information and to RSVP.

This week Coach Greg’Zoolander’ Nugent continues his ‘Fun Run & Fitness’ Sessions on Thursday Nights at Catani Gardens. For the group who went last week, we have a feeling they will be back for more this week. So if you missed out, make sure you get along!

Our group bike skills sessions on Tuesday Mornings have been fantastic with Coaches Ryan and Sarah leading a small group around Albert Park Lake to develop their group riding skills. This week they learnt the skills of taking the ‘race line’ and bumping while staying on the bike. If you haven’t made it along yet, make sure you join them next Tuesday 6.15am.

Sessions in the pool have been light on, with athletes enjoying time away from the chlorine, but remember if swimming is your weakness, it will be the first thing that goes when you have time out of the pool. So time to get back in and enjoy some fun sessions in the pool while maintaining some base fitness and ‘feel’ for the water. PLUS learn how to tumble turn! 🙂

Our Ironman Port Macquarie athletes Charlie, Jeremy and Tim are in their final build week this week. And how is this for commitment, Tim who is preparing for his first IM lives in SA and has to travel 140km ONE WAY to get himself to the closest 25m pool! Now that is commitment to the cause! How he stays awake driving home we have no idea! As those who have done an IM, you will know how these boys are feeling right now. So keep at it boys – taper town after this weekend!
