WORD FROM THE COACHES
We aren’t going to mention the weather this week. Let’s all just pretend it’s sunny and warm shall we! 😉

The Melbourne racing season was kick started on the weekend with the first race of the Team Up Triathlon Series at Brighton. We had a few athletes who braved Melbourne’s weather to have a hit out, so well done to each of these athletes. Great to see Ellie Stubbs in the trade mark yellow vest as a TO also. Great work in supporting our sport!

Natalie Methven 1:10.45 2nd 25-29F great hit out in prep for her race this weekend at Shepparton!
Luisa Orta 1:21.46 11th F30-34. She has been enjoying some x country training over winter and loves racing!
Blake Henry 1:12.21 13th M25-29. One of our newest athletes with some raw talent will have some big improvements this season.
David Felton 1:14.58 12th M35-39 With just 3 months of training under his belt with us, we can already see the difference it has made!

Well done team.

We commenced our new sessions at ST MICHAELS this week for our beginner swimmers, new athletes and those needing a technique focus. We had a good turn out for our first session on Monday under the guidance of New Coach Julie Ann Roberts. We look forward to building and developing the swim skills of this group!

At MSAC this week, our swimmers have been lucky to spend some time with Pro Triathlete Clayton Fettell. Monday night he observed from the deck and this morning he jumped in with the crew. Great to see Clayton who is sponsored by our partners GIANT and Shotz and we look forward to cheering him on at Shepparton this weekend. You can keep up to date with Clayton online here.

Next weekend we look forward to a big following at Race 1 of the Gatorade Series at our home ground of Elwood Beach. We anticipate around 80-100 athletes racing, including the 40+ new athletes who have been going through our 6 Week Coaching Clinic. To see the improvements from these athletes over the past 4 weeks has been fantastic, and they are all pumped for their first race next weekend!

We will also have an exciting announcement this week as we will have another Elite Triathlete joining us for our pre race session at Elwood next Saturday Morning. Stay tuned for details – one not to be missed!
